As an Associate Digital Designer at TGD on the XBOX DMT, I dove deep into the production style of the job. Our team was primarily production design with speed in order to get larger creative projects. My role included building new webpages, DQA, webpage refreshes, designing emails, and improving the everyday tasks the team was doing before I arrived. I expanded my skill set by creating quick actions on Finder for our team to use when gathering file information to share with Content Managers, Project Managers and Developers.
As my final act, I was tasked with taking the lead for a massive new chunk of work XBOX gave to our team which was XBOX in product, XIP for short. Essentially that title was referencing anything within XBOX's gaming ecosystem (XBOX Console UI, XBOX PC Game Pass UI, XBOX Mobile App UI, and XBOX Cloud UI). Some of that work entailed cleaning up from the team that was responsible for that work before us, optimizing workstreams including transitioning work from screenshots/powerpoints to Figma.
The largest of those new asks was called a "XIP Takeover" which was a massive undertaking. It entailed creating and cutting imagery for one specifc Game IP across every single channel of XIP. I have included below a Figma box below for you to freely browse a takeover for Forza Horizon 6. I went this route so you can get the entire scope of the project, feel free to shoot me a DM on instagram or an email if you have any questions.
Upon being hired at TGD I was mainly asked to do production design for XBOX.com. This included everything from smaller image updates to large homepage takeovers for game IP.
Standard promotion packages for games included all types of cuts on the XBOX homepage for any games that were either launching or releasing new DLC.

The two most common new page builds I was responsible for was for certain "Hubs" and new controller pages. Below is an example of each. The one on the left is for the Sustainability Hub that is rather simplistic and follows standard page design rules and colors for XBOX.com. The one on the right is much more creative, not only was it more creative I was also tasked with turning this page into a template for future two controller launches for the site.

In my earlier days at TGD, I was doing several production based Email Design work which we referred to as RM. The below examples however were for a much more time consuming project for a controller launch inspired by Ninja Gaiden 4. On the left you have an earlier iteration before their team provided offical artwork. That design was created using game IP that we already had access to. The image on the right is the final design, as much as I enjoyed my work, I was able to take their feedback and official artwork and create something the stakeholders were extremely happy with.
